Dr. Romesh Chawlani

Dr. Romesh Chawlani is a skilful and qualified Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Therapeutic Endoscopist practising at Gastro and Liver Care Clinic in Jabalpur where a wide range of services towards diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases can be availed of, all under one roof. Dr. Chawlani’s areas of forte in the sphere of digestive and liver disorders include Hepatitis B & C and all chronic Hepatitis, Cirrhosis & its complications, Acute and Chronic Pancreatitis, Gastric Disorders, GI Bleeding, UGI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and ERCP procedures.

Dr. Chawlani brought his formal medical education comprising of MBBS, MD (Medicine), DNB (Gastroenterology) to fruition at prominent institutes such as NSCB Medical College (Jabalpur), Gandhi Medical College (Bhopal) and Sir Gangaram Hospital (New Delhi) respectively. During his tenure at Sir Gangaram Hospital, Dr. Chawlani procured broad experience in the management of critically ill patients afflicted with liver disorders, Acute Pancreatitis, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Upper and Lower GI bleed patients. He also gained proficiency in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Upper GI Endoscopy and Colonoscopy, HVPG, PEG insertion, Fibroscan, HRM manometry and Nasojejunal tube insertion techniques. Furthermore, Dr. Chawlani lent his assistance in a large number of endoscopic methods like ERCP and EUS procedures.

On the professional front, Dr. Chawlani has received several accolades and awards for his research activities and paper presentations. He is the recipient of the prestigious ‘Young Investigator Award’ and has been presented with travel grant for his paper presentations, on two occasions.
